Leon Laroche appears in Melodies of Murder. He is played by Clint Dyer.

Leon Laroche was the lead singer of the famous reggae band Leon and The Ragers. In 1987, he had an affair with Jasmine Springer, the wife of the band's guitarist Billy Springer, while he was suffering from drug addiction. A year later, Jasmine gave birth to baby Kai, but Billy was unaware of Leon being the baby’s father and not himself. After two months, Jasmine told Leon she needed to tell Billy the truth about Kai and their affair. Leon did not approve of her decision and left her a note to meet him later that night at Siras Point. Again unable to convince her not to reveal their secret to Billy, Leon chose to silence Jasmine by strangling her with her own neck scarf. He then took her jewellery and valuables to make it look like a robbery gone wrong. The murder case soon went cold and nothing was ever traced back to Leon.

In 2018, Billy found the note Leon had given Jasmine in the pocket of the jacket she wore to the day she died, stating at Leon had invited her to Siras Point that night. Knowing who’d done it, he called the Comissioner of Police and left a message about the evidence he’d found. Overhearing the phone call, Leon murdered Billy too, after the band's reunion concert, staging the scene to make it look like suicide. However DI Jack Mooney was not let off, knowing Billy wouldn’t kill himself when he was about to bring his wife’s killer to justice.

Eventually, the Honoré Police managing to find a studio recording which ‘accidentally’ recorded Jasmine‘s confession to Leon. After confronting him, Leon confessed about the affair and that he hired a property away from Billy’s for he and Jasmine to go so Billy wouldn’t find out, but denied killing Jasmine about her attempt to confess to Billy.

The next day DI Jack Mooney discovered where Billy had hidden the note he’d found, in the pick guard of the guitar he played at the concert the day of his murder. After checking Leon’s financial records from the time of Jasmine‘s death, they discovered Leon had rented the property for him and Jasmine the year before she died. After rounding up everyone and revealing the truth, Leon confessed that Kai was his son and not Billy’s. Leon was then arrested for the murders of both Jasmine and Billy Springer.
